I'm picturing something akin to a landmine that listens for the high pitch whine of a drone and then shoots a net into the air. They move so fast though, it would have to be incredibly quick.

China puts on spectular drone shows. Doesn't take a leap of thought to consider their alternative uses. How do you stop a wave of thousands upon thousands of attack drones? Scary as shite stuff to think about.

Me watching a swarm of Chinese drones ready to tear me into pieces because it was “Her” turn and we need to make history

The US has been testing AI drone swarms for years. Here is an article from 2017 about a test of 100 drones dropped from F18s like bombs. The drones then rendezvous and "plan" their surveillance mission. Just crazy.
LINK
quote:
U.S. military officials have announced that they’ve carried out their largest ever test of a drone swarm released from fighter jets in flight. In the trials, three F/A-18 Super Hornets released 103 Perdix drones, which then communicated with each other and went about performing a series of formation flying exercises that mimic a surveillance mission.
quote:
Perdix are not pre-programmed synchronized individuals, they are a collective organism, sharing one distributed brain for decision-making and adapting to each other like swarms in nature. Because every Perdix communicates and collaborates with every other Perdix, the swarm has no leader and can gracefully adapt to drones entering or exiting the team.

Wonder what Hollywood leftist soundstage this is filmed on. Everyone knows this war is 100% fake and made up by the MSM and the Obamas to launder money for the Clinton's and Faucis NWO

I wonder if directed EMP fields are feasible.

That would be a directed energy weapon, which is already a thing.
The problem is stuff like that isn't really man portable. It takes too much energy to operate. The drones are too fast and stealthy to efficient defend with shotguns. Its a hell of a thing to deal with.

Elon needs to launch the Snake Plissken satellites. If he hasn't already.

There are videos online (not posting) of these drones being used a lot in the Ukraine war.
There was a thread a while back that was chock full of those videos. It was crazy shite, and terrifying as frick honestly.
Found it, from July.

That kind of looks like a virus with a human head.

This is the big concern. What china is doing with thousands of drones for entertainment will eventually be used in warfare.

What's the possibility that under a massive nation wide drone attack that we have to EMP ourselves?
Posted on 10/16/24 at 12:46 pm to Wraytex
You can't EMP a whole country. It doesn't work that way.
Odds are very high we'd have to do some extremely heavy localized electronic countermeasure work which would probably disable everything else along with it.
Im sure mil spec drones are hardened against electronic countermeasure.
I don't see a good mass-distrubtable countermeasure for a swarm of bomb drones. Hiding in hardened bunkers would work but you can't win a war like that.

It'd be vastly more difficult than shooting doves. Drones are faster, piloted by a human, and trying to kill you.
There's currently not a good solution for widespread implementation. I suppose this was what people were thinking in WWI, when machine guns first appeared and likely seemed like an insurmountable obstacle.
Something will come along to deal with the drones, and they'll get better at defeating it, etc etc.
I would definitely not want to be anywhere near that battlefield though.
