As a new father I will say the last five months have been some of the hardest I have ever had. The lack of sleep and quiet time can really drain you. That being said, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I love the little guy.

This is exactly what i am implying and knew to be true.

Chris Rock made a living off crapping on peoples deceit.

This girl blamed her son for the reason her life is now about him and not about her fun life before.

Trick, that is called being a mom and allowing your child to have that what you once had. Selfish as freak.

This is why most 'studies' will be inherently flawed.

Way too many people are having kids before they are ready. That's what leads to unhappiness. It will be very rare for both parents to sit down and say 'we are ready to have a baby' and regret it.

I truly believe that. For every amazing awesome thing they do there is an equally forceful negative thing about them that drives me up a wall.

However, the bond between parent and child makes all of that go away in the end for me personally. I can't imagine life without them, good and bad.

Yeah it's weird. There's so many personal, selfish things I could be accomplishing right now without kids. I would be lying if I said it didn't get to me sometimes; however, if you gave me the chance to do it all over again, I'd have the kids in a heartbeat. It's an amazing experience.

I mention that we have no plans for children (ever), we are inevitably barraged by young parents who attempt to sell us on the never-ending joys of parenting.

For someone who claims to not want to have kids, you sure do a lot of research on kids. It's weird.

It isnt weird

The 2nd strongest biological urge for a human is to procreate

So, these people who say they "never want kids" are mentally off the same as gay people and trans people

So Peckers just trying to become normal when he researches having children

The base instincts of our species should not be so carelessly dismissed.

The base instinct of men is to cream pie women, not raise kids.

The base instruct of women is attention, which children can provide, along with some significant drawbacks which millennial women are discovering daily.

Yep. Very few mammals mate for life (~3-5%), so if we are going to use the biological instincts argument, it would be just as weird for the married men who have multiple kids with the same wife.

Or, he just likes the attention.

2018 Pecker: Hey guys, I'm never having kids.
2018 Pecker's Friends: What! You should blah blah blah..

2019 Pecker: Hey guys, I still don't want kids.
2019 Pecker Friends: We know, Pecker, you remind us all the time.

2020 Pecker: Hey guys, wife is pregnant!!
2020 Pecker's Friends: What! You should blah blah blah..

I don't regret having my kid, but I kind of wish we could skip over this whole teenager part. He's kind of an a-hole lately.

I’m sorry but I don’t see how you can be a good parent while regretting your child’s existence. Parents regretting having kids never got to the “it’s not about me anymore” phase and that’s obvious. fricking people these days suck.

And it's obvious that she has way more problems than her kids. Not having sex in two years isn't a kids issue - that's a marriage issue. She also admits that her husband is absent from their lives. Perhaps he has a highly demanding job that keeps him from home except for an hour a day - as she claims - but most likely, he's your typical dad-bod loser who thinks it's the "woman's job" to handle the kids.

Furthermore, she says she finds herself wondering what life might have been like had she not gotten married or had kids; well no shite! I’m sure everybody wonders those types of things, thing is is that most people just wonder about that stuff, they don’t long for it. Because there’s a whole helluva lot more to life than just your selfish, bitchy arse.

Women have been drowning their kids in the bathtub while the husband was away since the beginning of time.

In 30 years you will have an untold amount of regret because you and your wife will be alone, while all your former friends are gallivanting around with their adult children and grandchildren. Good luck.

What don’t you understand about my post?

Many women would do anything to have a child. And aren’t able to. Many go spend thousands of dollars and go through numerous painful procedures and surgeries to try and have a chance of having a child.....knowing it’s still just a shot in the dark and not a guarantee it will work.

So how hard can it be to understand that women going through that (like myself) would hear mothers(who likely had no issues getting pregnant and don’t know that heartache) saying they regret having kids and get a little aggravated/angry hearing that?
