This is a map from 1100 AD. That’s 900 years ago (if I mathed correctly)

And while a lot has changed and there’s a few more small countries, the big countries are pretty set

What do you mean "the big countries are pretty set"? There's not a single country other than England that's current borders are at least as large as they are in this map. Spain is fragmented, Italy too. Northern European countries are non-existent. The only thing that's really the same is the Geography.

I ran your numbers through a couple of advanced analytical programs to check. Wow, you were pretty close. It’s exactly 918 years.

I don't know why you think the large countries are pretty much set considering Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Turkey, Greece, etc. are all missing from the map.

You're confusing this with the 2100 AD map of Europe.

If you think the map hasn’t changed that much, I’ve got some oceanfront property in Hungary I’ll sell you.

HRE(Germany), England, France, Poland, and Hungray, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway all are relatively similar to what they are today. I thought that was pretty neat.

The English crown had large swaths of land but it wasn’t a part of the English kingdom. It was a highly delicate political matter that the English king was expected to pay homage to the French king for those lands within the kingdom of England. Obviously no king liked that idea but England couldn’t do too much because they make the Scottish do the same thing. The dispute and part of the reason they warred so often back then is the English kings said they would only answer for their French lands and there was plenty of conflict of interest
