I’ve argued with multiple “conservative” people online who promoted her as a presidential candidate. She’s barely old enough to run, if that, and her work and life experience don’t remotely qualify her. Now she’s gone off to the wild side, apparently to keep/grow her audience for money. I still like her but she’s looney.

These political influencers have realized they can make way more money by being outlandish and controversial than reasonable (ala Alex Jones).
The script is to get recognized and gain an audience through normal media channels. Then branch off with your own thing, become a loon and become filthy rich.

Prior to that, expressing any of these beliefs resulted only in your being crossed off the Thanksgiving dinner invite list. Now it can lead to a career or even elected office.
