I haven't paid to watch on TV yet. I just stream the YouTube livestream from my phone onto my big screen.

Has any board of anything ever met and decided to lower the price of something?

because of the recent change in SEC policy putting nine conference games on each team's schedule
They already got an increase because the face value for an extra conference game is higher than a cupcake game.

Pay more to risk your life to walk to the stadium to watch mediocre football. Hmmm

Not if they get their way. They have been saying for years they want to charge just to come to campus on game day. Only thing stopping them is figuring out how to execute and enforce it.

By people with tattoos who thing all of the bs matters. It’s a sport played by kids.

Regardless of the merit of the increase, this will not help attendance.

Got rid of our season tickets we have had since 97 before this year.
I will only miss the parking pass at this point.
At least we had some nice championship years that I don’t see returning with the current yahoo’s in charge.

The tailgating scene is overall pretty sterile from what it was even 5-10 years ago
Great times as a kid at the Indian mounds playing football, king of the mountain, or sliding down on a box.

You’re literally a regular poster of a message board dedicated to said kids playing sports lmao

just can't do it, cost has skyrocketed, crime is worse, parking is worse, concessions are worse, piped in music is worse.
I’m done. After the last home game, we’re out. When I was a kid, my parents let me and my brother run rough shod all over campus. I’m terrified to let my daughter out of my sight. The campus reeks of weed. People are walking by actively smoking blunts, and the cops just look at them. The stadium is a joke. Why do we even have a band?
Don’t get me started on parking and traffic. I’ve told my dad for 2 years to let the tickets go. It’s no longer fun.

Can anyone name one thing that has gotten better regarding the gameday experience in the last 5 to 10 years ? I just can't do it, cost has skyrocketed, crime is worse, parking is worse, concessions are worse, piped in music is worse.
It is a whole lot easier to buy weed on campus on game day

UL football has lost more than $50 million over the last decade. In the last year alone, football lost the university more than $10 million.
Ticket sales revenue fell from $2 million in 2014 to barely over $1 million in 2024. Revenue from programs, novelties, parking and concession sales dropped by 80%, from $531,592 in 2014 to $138,039 last year.
Meanwhile, the team’s expenses grew from $8 million to almost $15 million over that same time period — with athletic student aid doubling from $1.6 million to $3.2 million, coaches’ salaries increasing from $2.6 to $3.7 million, and support staff ballooning from $227,282 to more than $1.6 million.
One of the only line items for football that hasn’t grown is fundraising, marketing and promotion, which shrank from $207,101 to $93,681.
If UL football were a business, it would have gone bankrupt a long time ago. Or at least have been forced to live within its means.

Well they have fricked up my tailgating situation so badly, by moving these fricking motor homes into my lot. If it is not improved, I will not be renewing.
Bring back "Lot C" motor home tailgaiting.

Sounds more and more like the NFL every day.
Definitely tracks with the increase in focus on getting everyone involved with what used to be an amateur sport paid.

Board members said that this will bring "more prominent teams to our stadium."
At a time when other SEC schools have been cancelling future OOC games against prominent opponents as a result of the SEC going to a 9 game conference schedule next year. I'll believe the "more prominent teams to our stadium" stuff when they actually announce a newly scheduled home and home series with someone.
75% of the schedule starting next year is conference games anyway. It doesn't matter if your stadium is a dump or world class....you're still getting the same conference home games regardless.
