He deserved a C because his entire premise is fatally flawed. Pro Athletes don’t have to play, they choose to play. Everything after that is conditions of the profession they chose

If politics are involved just be ready to back your side up. I think it’s okay for the teacher to respond with politics if the students starts with politics and vice versa.

It's a teenager.
If the kid starts talking politics, you as an educator shouldn't enact your political view on them as the argument. I think you should be able to steer the conversation to something that eventually doesn't involve you running to a local message board putting the kid on blast because he thinks different
