That’s exactly how I graded it. I gave him the C- because I asked for, just as a previous poster said, topic, evidence, analysis, and a transition. This particular student gave me evidence, but did not give me examples to back up his claims, which is the whole idea behind writing a paper like this.

His argument is definitely pretty stupid imo, but in high school it seems like his grade on this sort of thing should mainly be based off of his ability to communicate an argument, not the teacher's opinion of his position. Also, your saying that "liberal propaganda has gone too far" because some stupid kid wrote a stupid paper is as bad as saying that "conservative ideology has gone too far" because some dumb kid wrote a paper saying that evolution is fake.

I usually try not to assign over the weekend or over the holiday, but I had to squeeze this assignment in.

Just tell him it’s natural selection. The better player let’s say someone like Antonio Brown would have a better overall like 97 compared to a 94 Dez Bryant. That kid needs to understand competition and alpha/beta survival. Clearly those looking on the market would want 97 AB over 94 Dez. It’s simple economics. Sounds like the SJW kid is in to socialism.

I can see you as one of those teachers who doesn’t let his students use the restroom because “they should have gone at lunch/recess.”
