I'm sure there are figures somewhere of how much money these people cost us.
And I'm sure it's the biggest economic drag that this country has. Nobody is allowed to talk about it though.

Modern America is disgusting

Go shopping and look what’s in people’s buggies. It isn’t that the country just started eating more, it’s the country started eating wrong. If you eat and drink calories that aren’t filling (lots of sugar) then you will get fat.

Much cheaper to eat unhealthy than it is to eat healthy.

Scary shite.
I do hate it when bmi is used for some people though. Quite a few people are considered overweight if they have a good bit of muscle mass. I’ve been borderline “overweight” on my stupid work physicals because I’m shorter and I’ve lifted weights for my entire adult life. I have about 2-3 lbs tops of “bad weight” before I’d start losing muscle.

I hear that all the time, but I don’t believe it.
Water is cheaper than soft drinks.
Greens, broccoli, cauliflower, and squash isn’t expensive. Chicken is a cheap protein. Dairy products like cheese and yogurt aren’t any more expensive than a bag of chips.

Yep.
I don't drink anything except water and unsweet tea. Soft drinks are straight up wasted calories. I also avoid Little Debbies. Some of those are 300+ calories - that's about 1/6 of your daily calorie budget for something that leaves you hungry and has zero nutritional value.

Yeah years ago I was embarrassed going out in public weighing over 300 pounds but nowadays not nearly as many people look me the way they use to. Don’t get me wrong weighing as much as I do sucks but I’ve gotten used to the stares and just ignore them.
Now what does suck is this heat. I can’t stand up too long or I’ll get overheated and have to find a place to sit. Man it is hot

I picture the people creating fat shaming threads sucking down on a milkshake while getting salt from fries all over their keyboard.

Almost half of Americans are obese.
Just stop and think about that for a second.

Yeah, but Americans don’t walk anywhere. Go backpacking in Asia or Europe and you’ll see people walking everywhere. Sometimes it’s not about what you eat or drink but if you’re sedentary or not. I actually eat way more and drink a lot of beer when I’m overseas and come home the same weight since I’m literally walking 25,000 steps a day.

Tourists who visit here from Europe or even Wester Canada are far more adventurous than American tourists. Americans expect to be pampered.

This couldn't be more wrong and I'm tired of hearing people use it as an excuse. It would be a decent excuse if it was even remotely true, but it isn't.

It is shocking how little the average person (or, actually I guess I should say the average overweight person) understands about food labels and what they're actually ingesting. The food marketing industry does everythign they can to make some products seem "healthy" or "good for you" whihc is utter shite. I remember a couple years back when Nutella was all the rage because people thought it was somehow good for you because it was made with hazelnuts and skim milk. 2 TABLESPOONS, which you can basically eat in a single bite, has 200 calories, 22 carbs and 21 sugars. That's insane! And obviously people eat more than 2 table spoons. I mean it's like the equivalent of guzzling a couple mountain dews.
Subway is another great example of exploiting the frick out of the public. "Eat Fresh". All the fatties started going to subway well intentioned thinking they were doing a good thing instead of eating pizza and fries (give them a little credit there) but get a sub where you're basically eating an entire loaf of bread, a side of chips, and a coke. Then they wonder why they're still fat even though they're "eating healthy".
