Post updates.

Run up from Little Rock to Flippin and Mountain Home. There are a few fun stretches through there.

This is the kind of topics we need more of here. Post updates with pics from stops along the road and the car please.

No it’s a great road it’s a bucket list road who says avoid it besides you Nancy boy because It’s crowded? You leave tiger stadium in the third qtr don’t you? Admit it!

Chill out, kid. If taking forever to drive 10 miles of winding road with a bumper to bumper procession of bikes and cars in front of you doing about 15-20 MPH is fun to you then knock yourself out.

I go drive those roads at least 10 days a year. If we drive the dragon we just go first thing in the morning or end of the day. Have had plenty of clean runs at those times.

I have driven it over 100 times and rarely is the traffic a major issue if you go during the week in the morning. It is said it isn't even bad on weekends early but I never chance making the drive unless I can start early.

Dude you on a road trip in a Porsche. You will not be a pain to the board, it would be cool that you actually take the time to update.

I’d skip the Tail of the Dragon if I were you, especially if you’re planning doing it on a weekend. It use to be fun but now it’s just too crowded.

The morning and evening are fine on the weekend. Avoid 9-5 and you are golden.

Beartooth Highway between Wyoming and Montana which is just East of Yellowstone. Might actually be on your way to Glacier.

I'd make sure to drive through Nantahala Gorge in western North Carolina, if you haven't before.

I’m scared of heights so if you want to drive a road that scared the shite out of me drive the road leading out of Estes Park that goes up into Rocky Mountain National. There is a stretch where there is nothing on either side of the road but clouds. frick that family vacation.

Awesome trip plan.

I would try to throw some COTA laps in after Dallas but you’re not exactly hurting for fun already. Enjoy it and please post updates. If you’re doing it right on good rubber plan on a retread mid way.

We road tripped to Yellowstone a few years ago and when we left we drove through Jackson, WY to Green River, WY (stayed a night there).
South of Jackson we took Hwy 191 down the mountain through the Nat. Forest. That was fun and then we hit the desert but I enjoyed that part of the drive too.

We left GR and drove to Manila UT. The drive from Manila to Vernal UT was great; just watch out for the cows as there is open range on part of the drive.

Murphy, NC to Franklin, NC (Hwy 64) is a good drive in the east and it goes through the Nat. Forest.

I've always thought that riding a touring motorcycle on the Blue Ridge Parkway would be fun. Would also probably apply to a Porsche. Have only driven parts in a F150, not nearly as fun.

If you are doing road to the sun make sure you get a reservation. They only sell a certain amount for each day and you can only get them a certain amount of days in advanced. They usually sell out in 90 seconds. If you’re unable to get one you have to enter before 6am or after 4pm.
