Hard to miss all the extra planes flying out. And the fact that looters knew but the govt claims to be left out...GTFO

"Wait, where's everybody going?"

You can't leave a base that size overnight, especially in an orderly manner. The Afghan "government" is full of shite. Again.

The Taliban will surge. Al-Qaeda will surge. Al-Qaeda will enter into an unholy alliance with Antifa / BLM et al. A resurged Al-Qaeda will exploit the alliance to gain entry here in the USA. Joe Biden's open border policy will definitely make it easier for Al-Qaeda to gain entry into this country. Maybe even help from drug cartel.

Another terrible terrorist attack will occur. Lots of men, women, and children killed. Terrorist operatives embedded in our intelligence apparatus will shield Al-Qaeda as they move their assets in place.

You, people, fail to understand how totally vulnerable this country is at the hands of a corrupt Joe Biden and his radical pals. Biden et al is more interested in chasing down and arresting so-called white supremacist than bothering with Al-Qaeda infiltration.

Insanity reigns in Washington.

The worlds opium supply will take a big hit when the Taliban burns the poppy fields since the US gov won’t be guarding them

I don't blame them for invading Afghanistan. It literally hosted the architect of the 9/11 attacks and did so proudly.

Strategical strikes and insertions should have been the ticket. There never should have been a ground base and forces

Partially. The work by the CIA and ARSOF was absolutely necessary and got the job done.

Problem is, we just have to get conventional forces involved eventually. Cannot MIC/Endless War unless they are on the ground.

Been down Disney plenty of times. Outside of Kabul, Disney had the most traffic . Fun fact: I had my wisdom teeth cut out at Bagram.

Isn't a major part of their funding from the very sale of opium?

Well, one thing I know is I would love to be the first in there after the exit. The shite the military is leaving behind is not as crazy as what the CIA leaves behind but there would still be some good shite in the "pile".

Hell, I have seen the CIA leave behind C-4, NOGs, a crazy amount of ammo, and other explosives on a regular basis.

Had we done what we should have right after 9-11, and nuked the camps, poppy fields. Tora Bora and every other viable target in that hell hole, then left them with a warning if you screw with us again we'll nuke the rest, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Yes but opium production decreased 10x after Taliban gained control from 1980s - 2001
Then increased 30 fold after the US took over

Joe didn't do shite, that is delusional. This shite has been in the works a year thanks to Donald. Biden was a key part of the red line and ruining of Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, and Libya. He was in this Afghan game. He didn't close Guantanamo. He is a piece of shite.

Beijing just can’t wait for the U.S. to get out of the way.

KARACHI, PAKISTAN—As the U.S. exits Afghanistan, Beijing is preparing to swoop into the war-torn country and fill the vacuum left by the departed U.S. and NATO troops.

China is poised to make an exclusive entry into post-U.S. Afghanistan with its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Speaking on condition of anonymity, a source close to government officials in Afghanistan told The Daily Beast that Kabul authorities are growing more intensively engaged with China on an extension of the $62 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)—the flagship project of BRI, which involves the construction of highways, railways and energy pipelines between Pakistan and China—to Afghanistan.

This was always such a weird concept to me. I mean, you're already sitting across barbed wire from communists who are ready to kill you. So Rumsfeld, etc. decide that what would really improve things is bringing in some people they think are terrorists?

Oh, and a lot of them weren't actually terrorists... at least not when they got there. So let's waterboard them and expose them to Lawrence Welk at 100 decibels 22 hours a day until they really do hate us!

WTF is so much more secure or somehow palatable about keeping those people at "Gitmo" vs. Fort Leavenworth? You're telling me some Afghani goatherd is a bigger threat than the fricking Unabomber? That's asinine.

Neoconservatives are some of the stupidest people on the planet ("Rummy" and "Dubya"). Or maybe they're just evil (Cheney).
