The last 2 things I've had shipped with USPS have been lost

They are worthless. Had a credit card shipped 2 months ago that still has not arrived and they have no clue where it is. Had my registration for my car renewed online 45 days ago and it's lost in the mail. /Rant

Pretty sure it wasn’t “lost”.
Carriers have sticky fingers and like to report stuff as “lost” or “damaged” when they don’t want to let go of it.

I literally just received a check with a postmark of February last week. Of course the company that sent it had already canceled it and sent another, but damn, 9 months. Where the hell was it all this time?

They are increasingly using contract mail carriers instead of postal employees. My office park has one of these contractors. We get mail three or maybe four times a week. Not sure what they are doing the other days.

They lost an $800 fishing reel I ordered 2 weeks ago. One of the pair arrived. The other is still out there somewhere. West Marine had a replacement delivered next day via UPS when I called to bitch about it.

I have a daily email of what should be in my mail box.
I’ve had IRS envelopes go missing. It’s definitely sticky fingered mail persons.

DPS mailed me a driver's license 11 months ago which I've never received from my online renewal. This means I have to go into a DMV office to get a new one.

Normally, I would agree however I had a few shipments "lost" over the last couple of years that were initially sent through UPS or FedEx but then "dropped" for delivery by USPS. I'd like to know how to avoid those methods. So far, I was never notified until after the item is "shipped" and then notified near delivery time that it would be delivered by USPS.

Welcome to America under Democratic rule.
I can't believe how many basic services have completely gone into the shitter since Joe Biden was "elected" in 2020.

I have had to chase mine down to get my packages. Was waiting on one and all she did was drive through my driveway and was gone before I could get to my front door. I had to block the road as she went to my neighbors house to get my package.

Get the delivery notification set up to show you what you are supposed to get the next day. It sends you pictures of your mail the day before you get it.
Edited to put name of actual service: “informed delivery”.

I used to work for a company that provided a service to post offices. It requires me to go in the back through the mail sorting rooms. You would not belive the amount of mail laying around. On the floor, kicked up under tables and desks, or just on a table.
It baffled me. I guess every once in a while they sweep up and send out all that stuff.

All of the carriers lose shite. Every single one. And none of them give a flying frick.

They lost my boat registration stickers. I have to take a day off and go to WLF in Baton Rouge for replacements.

This corrupt GOP donor was appointed Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer in 2020 by Trump's Board of Governors to dismantle the USPS.
That's a Trump win.

My office ordered a network tool kit from Amazon early last month that was shipped through USPS.
Tracking says it was delivered on September 12th to a receptionist/mail room. Our building has neither.
On the 27th it was sent back to the sender because the addressee was not at that location.
Called customer service and they said it was scanned incorrectly as delivered and just sat in the back of the truck for 2 weeks so they sent it back.
Like, what the frick?

I moved 6 miles east, one zipcode over. It was taking over three weeks for my mail to be forwarded from the old post office to my current address. I've literally gotten packages from overseas 10x faster than that.
