The lack of consistency with re-openings is amazing

So our swim and tennis club is telling us they are not allowed to re-open in Phase 1.

Yet, I can go sit in a restaurant and have someone bring me food, and I can go to a bar if the bar is serving food.

So I can go smoke and drink and gamble with a bunch of old people in a casino, but I can't go swim at a club in a chlorine pool.

This is absurd.

I have an olympic swimming pool and a tennis court in my back yard. I’ve decided to shut them down due to COVID though

I feel ya. I swim a few miles a week. There is no reason you shouldn't be able to have a lap pool with lanes. I get closing or reducing amounts in a kid pool or general pool. Either way, chlorine kills on contact. It’s all stupid. Allow for personal responsibility and police the idiots.

The whole thing is unbelievable. You have states that are essentially shut down indefinitely where the overwhelming majority of their Covid deaths are nursing home residents. It is a huge double fail. They shut down the economy and hurt all the younger folks (who by and large are not affected by the virus) and because they are so wrapped up in doing that, they fail to focus their efforts where they should be: isolating the nursing homes and people with co-morbidities.

The fact that places like groceries and Walmart are still open and never closed means everything should be open.

Nothing is logical. This should not be a surprise considering the people making the decisions.

I'm still shaking my head over that comment.

Well if they closed grocery stores, there would be a lot more death going around.

I do wish we could track those further enforcing restrictions or lengthening lockdowns compared to those who will implement mail in voting. would be an interesting statistic to track.

I think he means that the fact we never closed crowded dirty places like WM that there is no reason why other places needed to close.

AZ opening up everything on Saturday. No hard restrictions and no enforcement threat.

I can't tell if people are being serious when they say stuff like this. I'm sure some are.

Do you really think that Edwards, by closely following instructions from Trump, is trying to single-handedly tank the economy of his own state, thereby tarnishing his own legacy, to make Trump look bad? I'm having a really difficult time following that logic.
