That abandoned building started life as a movie theater that served beer in the early 90's i think.
Wrong. The theater is now Alliance Safety Council which is between Office Depot and CORE.

Some Kentucky counties used to put mentally ill homeless men on busses with one-way tickets to Florida.

That probably explains the frequency of Florida stories these days

It is the exit ramp. If you are coming from Siegen Towards Bluebonnet on I 10 you will Pass a company called CORE then a building for sale
I hope you aren't using that as an exit ramp, but yeah they are back there. You can see people walking back and forth along the dirt road that runs between the woods and siegen

Use to? Getting in trouble or something? I'd donate to an org that did this but sent them to cali/nyc. I heard nyc does/did this too.
Anyway, as a native Dallasite I was actually super happy to see an advertisment tag on here for this End Panhandling Now site. Ha.

Where do all these guys buy their heroin? Is there a dealer that makes deliveries down there? Seems like it would be easy for the cops to just watch who drives in there every day and bust them.

I think BRPD used to drive them across the Mississippi and drop them in West BR Parish
WBR S/O would drive them back over the bridge, usually the same night, and drop them off. Never ending game.

You can actually see their little tent city on the latest google map image. It's about 115 yards from that apartment complex. Bet those people don't know they are living that close to a homeless camp.

They got a panhandler on every corner this morning and looks like relief waiting in the Taco Bell Parking lot sleeping on the curb.

On the other side of the industrial area and beyond the tree line homes are going for around $175 a square foot. Kids play in those woods. It needs to be cleaned up.

My parents are going to an event at the Renaissance Hotel this weekend. Are they gonna get hassled by vagrants?

Nah. This isn't right around there. The bums are usually near the interstate.

Yes!
No?
Maybe...
That hotel is nearly a mile away from Bluebonnet/I-10. And ~2 miles from the camp.
