Welp, I'm out of my house. Whole thing is flooded. In-Laws managed to rescue us in the nick of time in their SUV. Staying at Drury Inn Essen Park. Here with my wife, two kids, dog, and 2 cats. 3 nights booked. Then I get to go back and see what the damage is. I don't have flood insurance.
Just grateful to be dry right now.

And it should. That dude is a legit hero. He didn't think twice, just jumped in and yanked that roof open and pulled her out.

I am not getting out to ride around and look.
Anybody got news on Bayou Fountain?
I am hold up at my condo just south of it off Bluebonnet. Went look and looks like there is about 5 feet left on my side before it starts overflowing into our complex

Convertible was sinking VERY fast with a woman and her dog inside. They jammed into the convertible top with a pole and guy jumped into the water and ripped the roof back and used all of his weight to pull the woman out from under the water through the hole. Then reached back in and got her dog.

Anyone have any update on oak ridge estates off Elliot? Sister lives there. I know parts of Elliot are flooded for sure.

Soft-top Miata in deep water nose down. You could see the back window and some of the side windows. Some guys in a boat got to the old lady in the car. As they cut into the top the car started going down fast, the guy in the water ended up pulling the lady out while the car was fully submerged. He was able to grab her dog out of the car, too.

I'm in CH and we're all good. No flooding that I know of. Power line down b/w Caddo and St. Tammany leaving part of Caddo without power.
