Can anyone confirm that I-10 east is open from downtown Baton Rouge all the way to New Orleans? My in laws are coming back from BR tonight and are having a bit of trouble. TIA

This seemed like a quick storm. It looks to be done here in Prairieville.

I just drove to Metairie and back in a 3 hour span (also stopped at someone's house for an hour or so).. So yes it's open.

I know a lot of people in Denham Springs were forced to leave/vacate their vehicles from stalling out due to the flooding, and rising waters and whatnot. On Tuesday when I drove through Denham there were still several vehicles in the streets, and they were using bulldozers, not tow trucks, to push them off to the side. I know insurance will likely cover it, but I still think I'd be kinda mad if I returned to my car and it was messed up even more due to a bulldozer pushing it

I saw one in the Walmart parking lot that looks as if it had been rolled, righted, and looted.

Can you send me an email at SheepTD@gmail.com?

It seems like you're close to the pulse of that area and it would be nice to have someone to text/email about what's going on.... I'm going out of town this weekend.

If we're both from St. Amant, we probably know each other anyway.

Just seeing this. I emailed you.

where did you hear this from?

Just wondering because the last I heard was that they were (obviously) closed the rest of the week and were in the process of making plans to get the students back to school and would announce that by the end of the week. (per the Ascension Parish press release).

Never said anything about being out indefinitely.
