Someone just shared message of a family with 7 people on Colonial Drive are up in their attic waiting to be rescued.

It is still rising upriver. All that water has to go somewhere. Let's hope this gauge reading starts leveling-off soon!

Is there any other number for Livingston rescue assistance? My friend has 686-3996 number, but she can't get ahold of them.

Damn.... Let's hope someone gets to them.

We live by Gray's Creek down 16. Had to leave. Water at the garage door.

How did you get out??? Aren't the roads flooded?????

Sewers are backed up by Highland and bluebonnet. Starting to spit water back into the streets. I don't think there is any imminent danger like in Livingston and St. Helena but people should just keep an eye out.

It's crazy how much the water came up from 7 pm last night til now. Bayou manchac has come up over the entire golf course at Santa Maria, it's way more water than it was several months ago during that flood already.

Take 31 to St Martinville.
Turn left on 353 aka Cypress Island Rd at the red light just past the park.
Take 353 all the way to Carmel Dr in Lafayette and you're home free.
Took this late last night to get home. Best little known shortcut in town and high land the whole way.

Did WAFB just say that Watson is being evacuated? I was only half paying attention.

Where is Colonial?
I'm not sure. Was hoping someone who knew the area would chime in.

Wow! Definitely close to you ell...we are near Grays Creek also. Last gauge reading at the curve there shows 25.25 - alltime high reading there is 26.06 during/after Isaac.
We are up pretty high but I'm starting to get nervous. About to help family nearby who took water in 83

These river crests are surreal. When I see historic crests that aren't even sniffed after major rain events, I often wonder just how bad it had to be when those records were set. This event is going to obliterate many of those records. It's just awful.

This is a complete shite show. I need to go get someone's shite out of their house and thought if I was in and out by noon I would be good. Not looking good now.
We moved what we could with SUVs from my parents house on Rushing Rd. yesterday evening. Only us and 1 neighbor were moving anything. My parents have lived there since 1976 and have been flooded three times. One of the newer neighbors came by and said he thought they would be ok. We told him, it was going to flood and that the waters rise fast. Because there are so many new people in that area, this is going to be really bad. Last time it flooded was 1990. Most of the houses in that area are at 38-40 feet. Rushing Road is at 42 feet.

We got a back entrance to the neighborhood that exists to 16. We had someone call and say water was crossing the road but the bridge was passable. So at 5 AM we started packing and moving other things as high as we could. Got out at 6.
