And you are about to get rocked by a serious band of storms. Stay safe.

Good thing that they're safe. Material items can be replaced.

LIVINGSTON PARISH (WVUE) -
The Amite River is rising fast, according to Livingston Parish officials
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard is concerned about the several hundred residents living along Bend Road located in the Watson area that live along the stretch leading toward the dead end of the road.
As of 5:30 a.m. deputies are on Bend Road trying to get to as many homes as possible and urging residents who live there to evacuate immediately.
Residents who can get out on their own are asked to meet deputies at 35980 Bend Road.
Deputies will assist them in getting to dry ground.
If residents need assistance, call the Emergency Hotline at 225-686-3996.

That's all I care about. I'll get mad about her not listening when I told her to get out yesterday later.

I was expecting this. The Amite river is gonna cause massive flooding.

I live off of 1019. So does MJ2. I've been trying to call him.

I live near the Tangipahoa in Robert. The river says it is below the crest of March right now by 6". Last time it was in my yard by this point right now it's not within eyesight of my house. Neighbors who had 3ft in their houses are high and dry even though the river is near the same height. It's a branch of the river that floods but I can't figure out why it's not flooding.

How is the Amite by 4H Club and Hunter's Way look?

Are you up or down steam? If you are down stream I'd get out or at least prepare to leave

Flood warning now says crest will be 26.5' but I'm not seeing the same levels either. I wonder if they cleared some sort of relief that was clogged last time.

I'm also worried about this. More specifically 4H by Rushing.

Is BR in the clear?
far from it, as rivers rise other areas about to go under.
Joor road, Greenwell springs, Frenchtown, Stevendale areas probably about to get real bad.

Anyone know how bad Port Allen is/how much it usually floods?
Posted on 8/13/16 at 6:35 am to Kajungee
I'm hearing bayou fountain near bluebonnet and Highland is about to Crest.

Parents live down Frenchtown. Their house has never come close to flooding...they are very nervous right now.

I need to know about 4-h as well. I'm supposed to be meeting my brother in the back of Plantation Estates this morning and then heading to a nursing home on 4h to help with some evacuation stuff. Problem is that I have to get there from Prairieville.
