My mom just called and said that Lake Martin in Breaux Bridge, the levee has been breached.
Anyone in that area can confirm?

Haven't seen a lot of talk about the Lafayette area in this thread, would be nice to hear some information from out there. Seems to be pretty bad out that way as well.

French Settlement Amite level is 8.96 suppose to crest at 9.4 at 7 pm. My parents are close to lake martin and have confirmed the slowing of the rise. 1/4 inch is 4 hours.

Can't confirm a breach, but a coworkers daughter who lives near Lake Martin just called to say she's flooding out now.

I think/hope so too
I live at the Lakes at Bluebonnet just south of Highland behind the Capital One and all the Fast Food places
Been walking to see the level every 2 hours
It is still the same, got about 3-5 feet left before things start to look bad....
Jay Grimes said an hour ago that Bayou Fountain should be stable, just a matter of time for it to drain back out

ONeal Lane? I parked a vehicle near Sonics & Polo Cleaners across the street from Autozone.

A friend from Camden Lakes Apartments, but we cannot find any info other than nearby Oschner Hospital closed/ evacuation.

Any updates on O'Neal South of I-12 would be appreciated.

Oschner/Walmart/Camden Lakes area?

Update from Stonegate Manor off of Germany. Water is up from previous post. Still has a few feet to go before it begins to enter the neighborhood. I can't confirm at this time but I was told the pasture across from Stonegate is holding some water.

I will update as soon as something changes.

Just posted O'Neal update couple pages back...

No idea on hospital because I didn't drive that far but it wasn't due to water. Just turned around and came back to my buddies house with power.
