Any word on the St Amant/Acy area?
Friend in that area was concerned about rising water starting last night. This morning I can't get in touch with her.
I don't know about Acy but water is still rising in St. Amant near fire department and behind Holy Rosary. This is where my family members are.

I live in st.amant. some parts do have very deep water. I belive. Anything east of 431. Is pretty swamped. On stringer bridge about an hour ago had 15 inches and rising.

The fact that the Amite has crested at a location does not mean the backflow will stop upstream of there. As long as the Amite level at that connection is higher than the body of water it is backflowing into, backflow will continue. High water level wins.
