Ok, scrap that. they just said airline hwy is being diverted. They're diverting u to Jefferson hwy but you can get to pville but not straight through. Again, airline useable but with diversions

Pic, they're retorting airline traffic to Jeff. That goes around the back side of your storage area. If it's drivable, maybe it's not too bad?

Wel I imagine if people are trying to get to work it'll be a cluster. We have good friends in NOLA, as well as my FIL, so if it looks bad by the time we get close we can stop and stay there until receding begins. I just can't stomach being here any longer while this happens.

I second CENLA's question.
ETA: I just looked at 511 traveler info but it mainly focused on the interstates, not highways and surface streets.

Anyone who's out there know if these waters around airline/highland and airline old Perkins are beginning to recede now that Manchac has crested? Forgive my ignorance but I don't know how this works.

@ highland. I could have sworn they said eastbound us being sent up to Jefferson there. Westbound was flowing straight into BR, not being diverted. I'm not 100 on that though. I'm watching the news, I'll post if they say something

One of those is my classroom. Closest to the 4-way downstairs. Heartbreaking.

You can watch wafb streaming from their app. They have been showing frequent updates about the roads. Google maps has been pretty good too, but aren't showing the airline hwy closure, just the interstates.
