Anyone have insight on the extent we can expect Manchac near the parish line on Old Jefferson to continue to rise? Or will it fall now that it's crested further down? Like Winn Dixie area in Pville.

WBRZ just reported that Amite at Manchac crested at 21.5 at 3:00 am and is currently at 20.
This is good to see. If true, brother is safe. Thank you.

It's actually looked that way since noon yesterday

Been at the shelter all night. Any news about the water receding in camelot subdivision?

When you look at the pinecrest on the maps app, it shows a long red line like there's traffic. Wonder what that's about

I'll be there in 45 minutes. I'll report back

Burbank closed between bluebonnet and highland. Police blocking southbound traffic.
Albertson parking lot dry. Bluebonnet in front of albertsons standing water, but traffic moving though it both directions.
Looked at lakes edge condo closer and it has dropped a few inches since last night at 7.

I think bayou fountain has seen the worst of it. Water isn't increasing at I-10 and manchac and the crest already passed

Coming home (Pville) today to try to salvage our belongings. Headed from FL coast. Once we get back into Louisiana should we just head towards NOLA and take 10 through NOLA and back up into Pville? Possible to hit Airline in Sorrento and get through? Last I read 10 was closed at 73.

10 was closed @ tanger last I heard.
They were turning people around & up 30. The maps app looks like you are correct and its shut @ 73. Either way, you need to get on 61 at near sorrento

Just went and checked the little bayou by east tiffani street and Purpera in Gonzales..it's a little lower than yesterday but barely has any curvy yup it right now..the current it does have is moving in the right direction..any chance that might change or should we be good in this area??

Know anything about airline from gramercy into Gonzales? Water over airline from there to prairievile? I just need to get to the storage center on airline-it's right by Winn Dixie at airline/old Perkins.

I haven't heard or seen anything so I guess that's good news. It should be good. Only problem on airline I'm aware of is near highland.
Now the traffic that's gonna be backed up on airline has got to be ridiculous but I'm just speculating

News showing traffic decently flowing as of now
Posted on 8/15/16 at 5:51 am to Schmelly
Yeah, I anticipate bad traffic. Plan will be to drop my baby off to his adopted fairy God parents aka old neighbor's, borrow their waders and get into our storage unit..come hell or high... Yeah, you get the point.
Just realized my wedding dress is in there, too. Had it hierloomed so maybe by some small chance it's not destroyed.

Is Airline traffic heavy from Baton Rouge to Prairiville?

In-laws live in the neighborhood between millerville and old Hammond right across from the Winn-Dixie on Old Hammond. Does anyone have news about whether the water has receded in that area? Any help would be appreciated because I know my father-in-law will be trying to go back there no matter what today.
