From 7 pm August 11 to 7 pm August 12, the official weather station at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport officially recorded the following 4 official consecutive 6 hour cumulative rainfall totals:
1.98 in. (7 pm to 1 am)
2.12 in (1 am to 7 am)
3.56 in (7 am to 1 pm)
3.68 in (1 pm to 7 pm)
The total 24 hour cumulative rainfall is 11.34 inches... FACT!!!

Maybe some good news, intense convection off to the west might be able to disrupt inflow and kick off some subsidence hampering storm redevelopment this evening. However, there appears to be plenty of high theta-e air pooling off the coast that could surge back northward once the low level jet gets cranked up this evening.
