No it that just means they will scatter to all our cities. Keep them in NO and fix the problem over there.

Uh, no it doesn’t. We don’t need to spread that around any more than Katrina already did. We need to keep it contained.

I've heard they're really cracking down on the street racing scene.

It’s been at least 2-3 years. But the video of a fight worthy of a Worldstar video was it for me. The fight is just women. Hood rat cat fight. The entire video has the backdrop of a burnout/donut contest going on. This was the corner of Canal and Bourbon. On a Friday about 11pm. Prim time. And a prime location in the Quarter, or it used to be. And it’s lost. A cop at the substation having a smoke break could have heard what was going on. One of the million street cams on Canal had to see it. Nothing.

frick NOLA. You can never have my disposable income again. And I LOVED New Orleans. I even loved The Quarter as I got older. The age and history of the buildings always interests me. The carriage ways and courtyards in every popular bar that was an old playhouse or mansion. The little “storage closets” around some courtyards that look oddly like little rooms barely big enough for a person.

It look like the beginning of RoboCop or Deathwish 3 (I think it was 3) complete dystopia.

I used to think a VRBO property would be a cool thing to own with friends and family. Place to stay in the quarter and an excuse to go back to check on it now. No longer.

It’s insane how a lot of the tourists from the Northeast and West Coast have absolutely no idea how bad the crime has gotten.

New Orleans is a lost cause at this point

The sooner you let all these metro shitholes implode, the better off the US will be. I feel some sympathy for some of the businesses, but I’m done spending money in muni’s with elected officials who hate me, voted to power by people who hate me.

Stop giving tax revenue to people who hate you.

No it isn’t. It’s still plenty crowded and safe for the hundreds of thousands of others who didn’t get shot.

I hate how people on here say every single metro city in the U.S. is a shithole when you know damn well that’s not true. It’s deflection from people who have bias towards a certain city. Every metro city has different demographics/economy/law enforcement structure. A city like Nashville doesn’t have corrupt law enforcement, has a much lower crime rate, and is way more appealing as a tourist destination.

If I had to pick between visiting NYC or New Orleans, I’d pick NYC in a heartbeat. Because it doesn’t even come close to being the shithole that New Orleans is. No city does with the exception of Detroit/Memphis.

Right. And she keeps going there and nothing bad happens. But he doesn’t want her to go because bad things always happen there.

My wife and her friends do their Christmas lunch every year at Antoine’s, and would hit Razoo’s after. She said around 3 o’clock the quarter changed and it got really sketchy which she felt very uncomfortable and was ready to leave. This was last Christmas.

The Quarter has always been a rough place. Today we report stabbings and other crimes. My grandfather was an NOPD cop in the late 40's through mid 70s. He used to talk about stabbings and assaults down there and that it was a regular occurrence. If the guy got stabbed but didn't die you would hear nothing about it. If he did die, maybe you might hear about it....unless it was some guy off a ship who got too drunk and got into trouble.....then it never happened. Gun violence was another story unless Marcello's or Carollo's people were involved, which happened from time to time. Then it didn't happen. They took care of it.

One of many reasons I sold my t-swizzle upper deck tickets at 1025% profit. Had a serious talk with the wife about the city and decided we would rather go to the beach for a week in October instead.

Daylight is much better.

The nocturnal dirt people are still in their hovels.

People that say "it's bacially safe" or "most people are fine" are living in the past.
