The early 2000s (2000-2007) a somewhat underrated time in America?

9/11, Iraq war, hurricane katrina terrible and had lasting consequences
But looking at the era as a whole: the economy was pretty good (low unemployment), lots of cool tech was getting invented and improved upon (cellular devices especially), marginally less political division and less outrage industry , LSU football resurgence, etc.
It shared many of the "golden year characteristics" that many people viewed the 90s as having. (excluding lsu of course)

The libs HATED GWB but since there was no Facebook & little social media everything wasn't just in your face 24/7. People still somewhat talked on the phone instead of texting only. Dating Apps were in their infancy so you still met most people of the opposite sex in person. It was the last really good time to be alive in America. I miss those days.....
