She got 2 million because Johnny’s agent made a claim that the jurors deemed was false. They said she staged the place after calling the cops and then called the cops to come back. It’s not whether it did or didn’t happen, Johnny probably couldn’t prove it in court so she won on that claim of defamation. The other two claims were where Depp or his agent said she was lying and the jury didn’t award her on those because they believe she was lying so what Depp said was true.
The agent made the statement but I think the argument was Depp signed off on it and approved it, which he probably did. If he didn’t, he can settle that with his agent going forward.

the statutory award (the + $5MM the jury added on) is reduced to the Virginia cap of $350,000

I think the judge is required by law to reduce punitive to $350k. So it will net 8.35 million to Depp.

i would assume Heard can't afford this, but it would be hilarious if Depp paid her the $2M immediately with the assumption it was going straight to the charity that Heard "pledged" the $6M to.

he can actually say the jury awarded saw fit to award him $15MM in damages from Amber's defamation
