Say the jury finds in favor of Depp. Could he sue The Sun again? Can you sue someone twice for the same shite?

Jury had a question about finding instruction C. Which goes to the Headline and asking if that statement includes the whole op-ed or just the headline statement. Does this mean they are discussing each statement to render verdict...I think so. This is the strongest count for Depp

#DeppvsHeard Question pertains to this page of jury instructions, items 1 (the title) & 3

QUESTION: Does question #3 (the statement is false) pertain to the headline or does it to pertain to the content of the op-ed?

ANSWER: The statement is the headline not the entire op-ed

I would say no... but I'm not in the UK so I have no idea what happens there

that said... it sounds like the rumblings are growing for her to face perjury charges in the UK for her testimony during The Sun trial

Might play in Ambera favor since she didn't write the headline.

But didn’t she publish it? By way of Twitter?

I mean, at least that is how i would view it lol

understand that thought

but then the jury's question would not be about the 'is it false' part (question 3) but rather the 'was it published by Amber' part (question 1)

the verdict along with all the new evidence might convince The Sun to consider a retraction and apology at the very least.

Still wouldn't be sufficient. I hope he continues to go after them.

actually... now that I've looked at it further... that tells me that the jury looking at that page has already decided...

Question 1) "Ms. Heard made or published the following statement: 'Amber Heard: I spoke up against sexual violence - and faced our culture's wrath.'"

with YES

AND

Question 2) "The statement was about Mr. Depp."

with YES

that's the ONLY WAY they should even be CONSIDERING question 3 (it is false) to start with... otherwise they would've moved on long before getting to question 3

That's what I was thinking. I was just too lazy to go look at the jury questions. Thanks!

Certainly looks favorable to Depp at this point. Hopefully, there will be verdict today, but the day is going quickly.

There might be a technicality about this being true.

She did speak out against it. But her facing “our culture’s wrath” is sort of up to interpretation if it’s true or not.

Do they have legal vulnerability to worry about? If so they might have to.

If they don't have vulnerability then they never will.

Whatever the evidence the ideological perspectives that motivated their coverage won't change unless they purge their ideologically motivated employees

Sounds like the jury does not think she proved physical violence of any kind. That alone is enough to vindicate Depp.

Now it’s just a matter of if the jury thinks the headline is defamation towards Depp. I’m not sure how you can’t.

Does anyone know when they would go home today?

Looks like the day ends at 5 eastern. However, if they think they can come up with a verdict then they can extend the time, so I guess it could go longer.

Starting to feel like it may be tomorrow.

Not looking good for a verdict today. No telling what's going on, but based on the question, I'm wondering if they're deciding damages at this point.

DUI Guy+ said the sketch artist & CourtTV reporter went running into the courthouse... only to say there was a rumor of a verdict that proved to be false

If they say they are close, the judge will usually hold them late.

I had one verdict come in about midnight. We were all asleep on the benches when the bailiff woke us up to come in an hear it.

While the judge has told the jury they can stay late it’s not the general practice at this courthouse to let jurors stay into the night. @CourtTV
