20k US casualties and 20M people out of work for a virus that for most infected will experience syptoms/ outcome similar to a flu or minor respiratory infection.

We were promised the cure would not be worse than the virus. They lied.

If we reopen the country at the start of May, no. If we go much past that, then yes.

Yes and no.

I think it was smart to shut down large gatherings... concerts, sporting events, etc.

I think it was overreaction to go all the way to the stay at home orders.

ETA: Also there is a lot of variance by location. NYC/San Fran/New Orleans and others probably made the right call with the stay at home orders. Applying things statewide doesn't make much sense though.

I think we needed to do what we've done, but if we don't reopen by May 1st than the cure is definitely worse than the virus.

I think ideally we should start to reopen retail next week in most states.

Summer is a critical season for tons of small businesses. We need to get them open back up.

You don't know how it would have turned out with a different course of action at this point.

It's scary how many one track mind people there are in society. Glad you're not in charge

If anyone disagrees with this, she has been fully indoctrinated and should be ignored.

We should use a few states as a canary in the coal mine.

The cure is to sit home and social distance while watching a small business we have been building for 20 years crash and burn.
Hydroxychloroquine, antibody plasma, several other cures are effective.
But the powers that he are obviously invested in totally eradicating American small businesses.
