They will never be crazy low because demand is so high now. Not sure why people dont understand this.
Pretty much this. Until people stop buying them at these prices why would they voluntarily lower their prices?

LOL there's ALWAYS an excuse.
Too hot, too cold, too mild.
Too wet, too dry.
Too many hurricanes, not enough hurricanes.
They always come up with some reason to artificially inflate prices. They're worse than insurance companies.

my uncle is a crawfish farmer, they having tough time controlling ph levels in the water and being too acidic etc. they've had to take extra measures of chemicals and resources to control such things.

Kinda. What happens if you eat them? Do you balloon up or do you just get a rash on your back or something?
I'll bet you could eat just a few and be fine.

For the first time the farmers don't have an excuse for high prices and small crawfish.
"Because everything has been perfect, people expect prices to not be high and for crawfish to be large. This has increased demand for crawfish, so we're going to have to raise the prices."

Yeah, you could definitely eat a few and be fine. When was the last time you tried them? I'll bet you're not even allergic anymore.
