Probably still have 50+ pills left over from random prescriptions in the last 20 years.
Interesting. On a completely unrelated note, can we be IRL friends?

Were doctors prescribing crack to people?
My older brother did gymnastics, broke his nose thrice times from 10-12 years old. Was in fact exposed to pharmaceutical cocaine in one of those procedures. It is a schedule 2 drug, like methamphetamine. They have accepted medical use, even with kids. Dr's can prescribe pharmaceutical grade meth to you at 6. It's called desoxyn.

During the crack epidemic there were a lot of "crack babies" born. There have been a lot of kids born to heroin addict moms.
The concept of the "crack baby" was and is a myth. It never happened.

China is the largest importer of pure meth because it can be produced so cheap and pharma is unregulated. Most of it is purchased by the Mexican cartels and transported into the US through a variety of means
Incorrect.
Cartels purchased psuedoephdrine from China and made meth in large scale super labs.
Recently, cartels have begun to cut the Chinese out and produce their own psuedo ephedrine.
The cartels started flooding the market and drove prices down from 1500-2000 dollars an ounce 8 years ago to around 200-400 dollars an ounce today.

And when it comes to meth....misery loves company.
Most meth addicts get hooked due to friends and partners.
Most addicts I have talked to started using due to girlfriend/boyfriend or close friend using and pressuring them.
It just spreads like weeds and vines.

Can someone explain me the Milton Friedman quote a little?
Basically the government gives the black market a market with no legal competition. The laws and regulations we have protect them from legal competition.
If you want to put dealers and cartels on the wane, legalize drugs. The crack market in the 1980's created a lot of street millionaires.

I was referring to crack in the 80s. Now meth has completely take over.

They probably would have if doctors had prescribed crack.
FWIW, I feel for anyone struggling with an addiction.

You want to fix the drug epidemic? Free fentanyl but to get it you have to sign an agreement saying you wont be revived.
Yea, my solution to the opioid problem is to legalize drugs , but make Narcan illegal.

How you even begin to convince yourself of this "logic" is beyond me.

LOL
This is a retarded comparison.
Opiods are being pushed on people by big pharma and Doctors. Doctors are legalized drug pushers. Pushing dangerous shite on people and continuing to push it, writing prescriptions like the shite is candy.

I wonder why it’s so different.
Because one was done by personal choice, one was distributed to them by a professional.
One resulted in significant and violent drug wars and upticks in murders, one is not.
That’s why they are viewed differently. Also what was the nations attitude on drugs then compared to now?

Would you think your division a failure of your company kept upping your budget and giving you newer and better equipment/tools every year?

It's not all their fault. Heroin was around before oxycontin.

The big issue with the crack epidemic was the incredible wave of violence That spread across the country with gangs and their preferred distribution model. The opioid epedimic s nothing like that at all
I dunno, bro. Those Mexican cartels have wreaked havoc in Mexico and are far more vicious than any L.A. street gang in the 80's.

It's not. I'd say the majority of the blame lies with pharma.
Yes, heroin was around and there were plenty of opiate addicts already. What's different is that when the big push for pain pills happened, the amount of people that turned to heroin when they couldn't get/afford pills anymore exploded.

I could answer this but I saw who posted it so no I won’t
