The extra 10 years also added more interest, close to $170,000 more, but in the short term, experts said it can make a difference, especially since many homeowners hardly stay in one house for 30 or 40 years.

$170K in additional interest, all to save $100 a month per payment. Lol doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Yep. She didn’t want a new car to begin with. Was happy with her 10y old Yukon. However, every month when it had an issue I was the one fixing it and paying to fix it. Got to the point where I wasn’t comfortable with her traveling long distances alone in it and we were spending too much to repair it. Side note, we’ve been GM people for 20+ years but between the issues we’ve had with her vehicles and mine plus me not willing to pay msrp lead us in another direction.

Think as far as full size SUVs Nissan is the best deal. GMC, ford, Toyota aren’t dealing. We are very happy with the armada so far.

That’s because Nissan is far behind on quality and reliability.

Local Chevy dealer has a new Duramax, single rear wheel, advertised for $85k.

Regular ol' 1/2 tons are over 50k.

For the first time in a long time there is actually a little inventory on the lot. I think prices are outrunning the local wages.

A chance I’m willing to take. Tons of issues with my gm truck and my wife’s previous vehicle. However, my boss and several other people I know own armadas and are very happy with them. Most of them going on 5yrs or more.

Had that issue in Feb. wanted another Yukon but GMC wouldn’t come off msrp. Wound up buying an armada SL. Msrp was 63 and I paid 58 I believe. Bayou Nissan in Nola had an SL for 53k but my wife didn’t want blue. Supreme Nissan in slidell had a grey SL for 57, and white one for 58. Think as far as full size SUVs Nissan is the best deal. GMC, ford, Toyota aren’t dealing. We are very happy with the armada so far.

There's a reason. Nissan is the Plymouth of Japanese cars. Hell all Asian brands. I'd buy Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, Kia, Hyundai (have I left one out??) before ghetto Nissan. Lowest common denominator.

Maybe the cars with the cvt’s, but the armada, titan, and frontier all seem reliable. Guy I work with bought a new black frontier pro 4x, which is the best looking compact pickup these days. Interior was super nice too. Blows out the Tacoma in these departments, not sure about reliability in the new model. Titans/armadas can go 150-200k+ miles and 10+ years. I would trust their old V8 over most new trucks with the twin turbo V6’s or the new hybrid in the sequoia

I rode a 2005 Nissan Frontier to over 100k and spent maybe $3k in brakes, tires, and other consumables in 7 years. But the Chevy mafia in LA is strong, so they're going to shite on American produced Japanese cars every chance they get.

Interior was super plastic back in the day, but it apparently isn't now.

Overall point being, if you can't afford what you want, adjust your expectations and brands.

They definitely are here. My exact truck that's 6 yrs old is still listed at 50% higher than I paid and according to the blue book mine is still worth over 80% of what I paid. That's stupid.
