Ya, it's fricking annoying. I blame clutching pearl grannies like you for them existing in this country.
You do realize you solidify your automotive stupidity each and every time you call the electronic speed limiter the rev limiter, right?
You should take my advice, use the Google machine and understand the "Gentleman's Agreement"

Good job to lock in on a semantic quibble and ignore the rest of my post. You know what I was talking about, otherwise you wouldn't have gone with the "AKKCTCHUALLY" reply.
You do you baw. I look forward to you explaining to me how I drove in Germany.

Because that's where they were traveling when they were going 100mph or more?
Again, do you understand the term "average"? You think these guys spent most of their time driving through downtown cities at 5pm?
Have your ever driven across the country? It's not all interstate travel even if you try.
And you think they obey the speed limit in town? Doing 70mph in a 25mph zone can have equally devastating consequences.
Have you ever partaken in a rally where time is averaged?

I’m assuming they also didn’t include the meth usage in the story?

Except for the years they've been doing this, there have been no devastating consequences. Statistics say if they were doing 70 in a 25 every year there would be.

Yes. Which is why I find the critiques of this laughable.

Eh, I can think of one I'd trade after reading this thread.

Speaking of cannonball run, this is a movie that rearley gets re-aired.
Which sucks bc it’s awesome.

Can't outrun Mr Motorola. The last record holder, Ed Bolian, got scared because he blew by a cop at 130 and sure enough they tried to set up a speed trap but a spotter caught it.
That being said, I love this stuff. Never thought Bolian's record would fall this quickly but o well.
Also, somewhere, Afroduck is nodding in approval.

Is Afroduck still hiding out in Canada?

He's probably still on the lam. Poor bastard.

The “If it saves one life” crowd sure came out strong. How these miserable people exist in daily life is beyond me.

Rev limiter- Jesus.
I chuckled at this as well.
And apparently he still doesn't know it's not a rev limiter.

They didn't run over anyone's pets, did they?
If they did, my opinion of them changes immensely.

Alex Roy didn't get rich from setting the speed record he had money to start with. Like Rawlings. I believe it was in Roy's book there has been 1 fatality during an event in Europe. Civilian car ran a redlight.

The older you get, the more you understand and appreciate life.
I have kids, nephews, nieces and countless other loved ones take the road everyday.
I've also seen firsthand the consequences of stupid, careless and distracted drivers.
These guys check all those boxes.
Even if they are "PROS" have you seen how many people drive with a phone in their face?
No amount of skill can prepare you for an unpredictable driver on the road. It's like they say, you can be right and also dead and right.
subMOA put it best. leave that nonsense at the track.
and that's that, if you don't agree, fine, frick you.

I'd like to see what kind of time this silver AMG can put down from Covington to Lafayette on any given Friday.
