The model for consumption has changed, the industry hasn't changed with it. It eventually will, the problem is that theft might already be entrenched in people's minds by then.

I want to cut the cord, but primarily watch live sports, and like being able to flip back and forth through games. Is it possible to still be able to have access to all the big games, and cut the cord? If so, how?

Internet is a separate charge, considering it has many unrelated functions.
Sling plus netflix and local broadcast is $30. No contracts, no changes in price, and no infomercial channels. It's too much of a stretch to say the costs are about the same.

Sling tv has espn and a $5 extra sports package with sec network and others. That's $25 total per month. Watch the CBS, Fox, etc. games in hd with an antenna.

I just don't find account sharing to be that inherently bad, relative to all the possible "less than ideal" behaviors; especially considering that the providers could easily limit or prevent this but are not actively doing so at this time.

It's worth 100 bucks more a month to not deal with the hassles cord cutters deal with.
