The amount of AI generated "content" loaded on social media sites for revenue

is insane.
Like that Jungle Yacht video...a few black and white pictures with an AI voiceover reading some random descriptions and posted to youtube.
Also the AI voiceovers that read and summarize news stories.
Whoever is generating that content must be making a fortune from stream revenue since there is a torrent of that crap.

Facebook is becoming almost unusable.

I like FB to be able to keep up with people in my life that I don't see anymore, but there are times where I will literally scroll past 15-20 different "posts" and exactly zero of them are real people/FB friends of mine and are just ads and generated content. That's usually when I stop and just get off of it.
It's annoying as frick.

Exactly. I don't want to get rid of it because there is a lot of personal content I don't have backed up. And I do use it to keep up with friends and family across the country but damn, it'd be nice to actually see their posts.

I’ve noticed this too. It’s become straight garbage, well more than it was before.

It is terrible. AI can't carry Mark Felton's jock strap. I got suckered into a really bad ai one on Mesopotamia this morning. fricking computer can't pronounce shite.

Facebook Purity helps clean it up.

It’s getting to the point where it’s nearly impossible to differentiate AI videos from videos that have no AI. Only exception is pajeets on Facebook who use extremely cheap AI generators to make shitty tiger attack reels.

The Pictures from days gone by thread is rife with bogus AI generated "photos" lately. The whole AI generated fad has caused pretty much anything and everything you might run across online to be suspect as to whether it is genuine.

We're even seeing it here with an increase in posters just copy and pasting shite out of chatGPT or grok.

And the responses to them is scary. Either there's an alarming percentage of people who don't recognize the AI, or most of the comments are from bots.
If it's real people, we have an overwhelmingly stupid and gullible population.

The AI photos take away from the talented photographers who post some quality work.

The amount of garbage I'm not interested in reading or seeing is unbelievable at this point. I was deleting things, but it got to be too much and what you delete is just replaced with something else.
I use it also to keep up with family and friends and it worked so well before it was filled with BS. Now, it even suggests groups for you. I don't want suggestions.

Will never get people who enjoy talking to AI or using AI to generate images. It's just soulless schlock and it's disappointing to see it making its way here.

Look at the comments on this post and that should tell you what you need to know.

Ignore, see less, block. Nothing works really. I also use it to keep up with family out of state but it’s nearing the end for me.
Everything seems to be taken over by bullshite now. Fb unusable, Twitter is all propaganda and negativity, news is biased and spin.

There are countless AI instragram accounts now.
AI models just kinda standing there doing nothing.
500k - 1M followers per account with a bunch of pervs in the comments that have no clue it’s not a real woman.
Account owners have to be making a fortune.
Not a bad business model.

I rather enjoy seeing my feed get bombarded with ads for items I just purchased.
