I ordered a DoorDash order of 5 hot dogs from 7-Eleven that's 3 miles away today. I also filed 2 complaints and got my money back today

I debated about posting it - probably a regert

I didn't get the onions, jalapeños, or tomatoes for it though and there was a thunderstorm

Perhaps this is an airbb issue, lots of alternatives with lower pricing popping up.

Uber

Yeah but this is a very much proven model that works even without all that stuff that you mentioned. Cabs were horrible or non existent in many areas. People will continue to need an app based service like this in metro areas down to even small cities

AirBNB jumped the shark when I heard people were renting them in St Bernard Parish

Like why

It’s not what it was a few years ago. I started staying in hotels again

It actually gets worse

I have hot dogs in my fridge - no buns though. I do have a convenience store aboot a 30 second walk across the street as well and they serve hot dogs

I regret nothing. The hot dogs are actually pretty thicc and juicy

They aren't terrible but it's wayyy more expensive than it used to be and that started before bidenflation.

It is more desireable for work from anywhere than a hotel is.

Im staying in an Airbnb house in San Diego next month with wife and kids. Way more expensive than a hotel room but I wanted the space and it’s a couple blocks from beaches

I’m using an AirBnB in Vancouver next month. It’s significantly cheaper than area hotels. And for whatever reason all the hotels up there seem mediocre.

With that said, I’ll always choose a hotel if reasonably available.

Yep last one I stayed in had a $60 damn parking fee for the condo and a $200 cleaning fee so a $250 a night condo cost me $900 for two nights after all the extra fees and taxes

Feel like this is how they are now, I’ll look at some for a random weekend, oh 200 a night for a 2 bedroom, go to book it and it’s a thousand dollars

People coming to St Bernard to fish? Staying in Chalmette or Meraux puts them convenient to fishing in the morning and being able to go out into the city in the evening

I manage one. I actually lose money on my $200 cleaning fee. My cleaner charges me $250 each clean. She’s great but that shits expensive and I don’t want to stick that on my guests or I’d never get rentals.

Hire someone cheaper. $250 for someone to clean is way too much. We have a couple of them and we pay a lady $100 everytime.

Fees have killed it. I refuse to stay in one for that exact reason and dumb rules. I understand some of the rules, but if you want me to clean and then you’re going to charge me… nope, I’ll just go to a nice hotel

Maybe a few camps way down the road, but otherwise there’s a million of them in the city

There is nothing worse than a typical hotel stay. I'm posting this from a 2000+ sq' 3 bedroom airbnb with a full kitchen, 3 bathrooms and washer/dryer that costed the same as a 350 sq' holiday inn express with two queen beds and probably a baby crying on the other side of the wall while her older sibling play hide and seek in the halls
I use VRBO and AirBnB because we must have at least 2 rooms due to a "snoring problem" in the house. nothing worse than going on a vacation and have a bad night sleep because someone is sawing wood. Thereford Air and VRBO is cheaper than 2 hotel rooms a night plus you get a real kitchen to make good coffee, breakfast & snack time etc..

PS I also thin the higher cost of airfare has keep some people home. We recently did a trip to Arkansas because we could make the drive in 6 hrs.
