It is time for a change and not just St George the city parish form of government needs to be disbanded. We need a City of BR govt and Parish government with separate budgets.
We(Lafayette) took the first step to getting rid of our consolidated government in December when we voted to have separate councils.

Let’s keep St George and let NBR create their own self supported city

NBR will have to tax Tony’s and Krispy Kreme at 100% to pay for their shite.

That would be some funny shite right there.
Zero to Mogadishu in 2 seconds.

6 weeks.
I give it 6 weeks.
And that’s based on residual funding left over from StG.

The Advocate also employees that despicable pig Stephanie Grace who wrote the propaganda hit piece on Drew Brees of all people.
Apparently Brees supporting a “bring your Bible to school day” wasn’t cool with the alphabet people so the woke, white savior (Stephanie Grace) had to create a story out of nothing.

The Advocate headline demonstrates just how out of touch the Advocate is; Baton Rouge voters can not vote for or against St. George.
So how can BR voters reject SG?

I've become so tired of hearing the terms "split" or "break away" with regards to St George.

It’s sad how many in a leadership position that live in EBR Parish have no clue as to our government and how we receive services. It’s no accident that many ordinary citizens have no clue.
I also think it’s obvious who pays their bills and whether or not they pay property tax. Some have no idea.

If y’all don’t think massive voter fraud is going to take place in St. George, y’all are fooling yourselves.
It would have to be a LARGE majority to pass it.

There are a lot of people saying that article was causing him to lose focus and played a contributing role to his injury.
So thanks Stephanie, hope you’re happy.

It’s kind of a schizophrenic attitude.
Areas which generally developed after the city parish merger of 1980 are considered part of BR until they demand to be treated the same as other areas. At which point they are now considered as “separatists”.
The problem could have been dealt with over time if there had been annexation efforts, except they didn’t for whatever reasons. And now we have an area that can be incorporated and would immediately become about the 4th or 5th largest city in the state.

Nope.

Any Republican that’s against SG is a RINO piece of shite.

"The Greatest Generation" created the city parish model therefore it must still be the best for Baton Rouge. I mean, how could they have been wrong? They were the Greatest Generation.
At the time it was created, it was probably a viable model for the size of the area affected.
It’s not sufficient now when the overall growth of the area is taken into account. It’s become outdated and bloated with waste and corruption,
