Well, if John Georges and his lobbyist keep stalling until they have a piece of the action, they'll still have another three to four years of Magnolia Bluffs Sportsbetting action..and Tamales to draw BR folks with.

Natchez

Natchez does fine with tourism. You get weekenders from Jackson and New Orleans, and get a fair amount of European travelers off the river boat tours. There's good restaurants and bars, pilgrimage tours, casino gambling, Native American history, French Colonial history, Civil War etc. There are a lot of people that are fascinated by that stuff. They come from all over.

Amazing how Monroe/West Monroe didn’t make this list. Ouachita is the land that time forgot. There’s nothing there but two bars and cotton fields.

No surprise that Dade County is on there 3 times, and Fort Pierce. Wayyyy too much people living in such a small living space.

I have driven through Lake Providence,La. up in East Carroll Parish several times. It is one of the poorest places in the United States. When passing through it was very, very quite. I don't know how we can help these areas of our country. Guess al those folks could move to Monroe?

Huntsville doesn't belong on that list. Gets a bad rap because of the prison.

I also dont understand why Danville VA is on the list. It's sure as hell nicer than Monroe or Alexandria

calling BS on Cleveland .... working there for a few months and it's has some great neighborhoods with good food, a great music scene and very little traffic. No to mention a world class museum, symphony and pro sports teams.

I've been to several of those shite-holes, but I question why a few of them made the list. Specifically, Lancaster and Palmdale, California - adjacent cities, both I found to be very nice. Might be commute time was weighed heavily in the computation - many people live there and work in LA. It's a very long commute.

My uncle lives in Cleveland, and we go there every now and then. He's been there nearly his entire life. It's actually a LOT nicer than it was in the 80's, which should tell you how shitty it was in the 80's.
