I agree if Shreveport is on the list Alexandria should have also made it. I’ve never been to Monroe so I don’t have any input there

ETA: Pine Bluff could arguably be #1 by any metric.

I remember seeing a list like this back in the 1990s and Pine Bluff was indeed #1.

The year before, it was Midland, TX.

Excuse me for not being familiar with your state but where is Ferriday? What city is it near that I would recognize?

California with 20%? You don't say. Wish those fricks would do something about it so Californians would stay there.

Ah home sweet home.

Cleveland doesn't belong on the list honestly. I'd think of Ashtabula or Akron way ahead of Cleveland. frick does it snow in Ashtabula, good wine around there though.

Natchez-Ms, turn left across Miss River bridge, you are now in Vidalia-La(a functioning blue collar La river town), keep driving along the highway 25 minutes to Ferriday-La..

A listless drying up town left behind years ago, with actually moderate crime considering it's abject poverty and high unemployment. It has a prosperous soy farming community close by, and also Lake St John(a False River-esque oxbowish lake)adjacent to the Miss River. It's the Miss Lou's weekend playground for wealthy Natchez & quite a few BR folk's fishing camps too. Thus, the local grocers, dining, liquor, and hardware, also draw the farmer & party barge/fisherman dinero.

Natchez

I know it’s not a Charleston or Savannah but Natchez could sure use some more attractions and marketing as a weekend destination. Seems like they’re too focused on bed and breakfast places and that’s it. Too one dimensional as a tourist attraction.
