And it was the fastest production car that year.

For G bodies I prefer the look of the 83 Hurst Olds.

My dad had a 1991 Cutlass with the 3.4L. I remember the torque steer was was pretty bad off the line, but it was one of the faster big cars on the road at the time. They went through ball joints like no car I've ever seen, and few lasted much over 100k miles

Interestly, Oldsmobile also offered the Cutlass with a 5 speed manual version that had 210hp. The auto had 200hp with the 3.4. But most had the ubiquitous GM 3.1L V6.

The Jim Gaffigan Pontiac Aztek Camper Edition leaves a ‘97 Olds CS in its aesthetic dust.

True, I just think both of those styles were the best looking (and biggest engines,) for the Cutlass/442

Got one of these, with 5 speed, on a dealer trade from the Twin Cities. Sounded sweet wound out and was pretty quick for the time. Had the DOHC 3.4. Best looking Lumina I ever saw and the only 5 speed W body I ever drove.

Loved that car. Speaking of the Hurst Olds, for all the millennials who cant drive a stick, the Lightning Shifter would blow your mind.
