Very clean lines, quad slit headlights, and the door handle integrated into the b-pillar. The wheel size is perfectly matched to the car.

Light cladding. Looks stately and modern at the same time.

You could probably get 800 miles before your first trip to the repair shop. Same as current GM products now that I think of it.

If we are talking Olds Cutlass, you missed it by a decade.

That car is cynical nostalgia marketing per RCR

68-72 and 73-77 are very different cars and they all look different to varying degrees every year.

Back before cars looked the same for their entire production run. Thanks crash standards and the millions spent certifying cars.

I agree with the OP that the W body Cutlass was a very attractive car. The old man had a 89 Cutlass IS as a demo. Thing was like a spaceship in 89.

It was simply one of the better looking cars in the 1990s, and possibly the best looking sporty, family car that GM made since the 70s, up to that point.

My first car was a 1990 98 Model Oldsmobile. I loved that damn old man car. It rode like you were floating on a cloud, even after I beat the shite out of it.
