A stock Subaru can go more places than you. I've seen $50,000, 2wd, baw-trucks defeated by wet suburban lawns.
Dumbasses.
Not if ground clearance is the issue. And how often do you see a truck stuck in a lawn in the city?

Saw an f250 stuck in a driveway yesterday.
Naw dropped his front tires off the edge of the concrete and could pull the truck back onto the slab.

Is it OK that I want a Jeep as a weekend vehicle? Riding with the doors off during the Summer is fun

First world problems to the fullest. I drove a minivan for years when I first started driving. I saw it as a transportation method. Yeah, it wasn't a mustang, but I knew people who didn't even have a car in high school.

I don’t understand why if you want the room of the minivan you wouldn’t get a tahoe or another SUV? Same room, and a whole lot cooler than driving a minivan.

Yeah, it wasn't a mustang,

I just wish there was a jeep not made by jeep.
Just parted with my Rubicon.

Why?

Most of them are fake muscle cars that look like shite and have terrible performance and reliability.

I'm going to say the number one factor is price considering a Tahoe is about 1.5x more expensive.

Because a minivan is so much more efficient at moving people and cargo, it's not even debatable. A Tahoe with the 3rd row up has almost no cargo space.

What went wrong with it?

are they?
Tahoe has 95 cu ft of hauling capability vs a Chrysler pacifica(Smaller mini van) 140
Mini vans give you interior height that does help in hauling shite. only thing a tahoe would give you is towing in comparison, besides not being a minivan

Tahoes aren't cool anymore. They're the stereotypical mom car these days.

Can’t be understated.

My buddy recently flooded out his Tahoe when he went through a flooded street. Funny thing is he was following an old Grand Am that made it through fine.
Turns out the air intake for a tahoe is positioned comparatively low given the vehicle's actual ground clearance

I believe that photo is an after market cold air setup. The air box is higher than a grand am.
It’s all on how you drive through water as well. You have to push at a constant speed in order to keep the wave in front.

A Mitsubishi mirage G4 should have made this list. My wife had to rent a car for 3 days to run around town in while hers was in the body shop.
She told them to give her the cheapest car they had. And they did. That little thing had a 78hp 3 cylinder. She was scared to drive it on the Interstate because it wouldn't get up to a good cruising speed on the on ramp
ETA - here's a pic

I'm simply going off the information he gave me. it very well could be higher than the illustration but I thought he told me it was on the underside of the motor
