We were talking shite about pineapple pizza back in the late 90s before social media was a thing. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been punked by a stack of empty pizza boxes next to the pineapple pizza with 1 or 2 slices gone.

Bbq chicken pizza with pineapple is delicious!

Every made to order omelette station that I have gone to in posh resorts ask me if I want fresh tomato to top off my omelette
Lulz
Exactly like putting pineapple as a "topping" on your so-called vegetable only pizza. You know what else goes into my made to order omelette. Peppers and olives. Also fruits

Hawaiian pizza sucks. Pineapple on pizza? Amazing.
It's the ham/Canadian bacon I don't like. One of my favorites if I am not getting a meat/protein is half pineapple half jalepeno.

People who claim to like pineapple on pizza are the same ones who like to argue Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
I think it’s a generational thing.
It’s okay to be old, hell I’m getting there, too.
I love Hawaiian pizza. It’s a balance of sweet, salty, and cheesy.
I also am ok with Diehard as a lower-tier Christmas movie.
It’s not harming anybody, to each their own.
God Bless America.

Oh the big gotcha—tomatoes are fruit.
Tomatoes are treated as a vegetable the world over. Nobody comes down for breakfast and slices up raw tomatoes except some inbred farmer.
Knowledge is knowing that tomatoes are a fruit - Wisdom is knowing not to put them in a fruit salad.

A lot of people may be turned off by the thought of pineapple on pizza, but you are missing out. Pepperoni, jalapeno, and pineapple makes a fantastic pizza.

Sweet pineapple and pork go great together.

Just like you’re free to watch Die Hard at any time including Christmas. Still doesn’t make it a Christmas movie.

but there isn’t a god damn fruit in the world that belongs on pizza.
tomatoes. And figs.
I though pineapple on pizza was just wrong, until I tried it. I prefer it with pepperoni, but it works with ham or Canadian bacon.
Fig and Prosciutto is good too.

Has to be countered with salt to be good. Hawaiian is delicious.

It isn't it crazy that less than 150 years ago people were paying the equivalent of $1000 an HOUR to RENT a pineapple?
And now we can buy one for under 2 bucks?

pooping a pineapple is the end game for a serious bout of constipation

This. It’s basically impossible to claim to like pineapple, like pizza, and not like a good Hawaiian pizza.
I would say anyone claiming this is a liar or hasn’t actually put one in their mouth.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa....
As a Chicago native, I had a ton of great pizza growing up. Therefore, I know good pizza.
Pineapple on pizza isn't something I want all the time, but to pretend that it's not a quality ingredient on a pizza is just plain wrong. It's science, dude. Hawaiian pizza is good stuff. Sweetness from the pineapple, a subtler sweetness from the onions, tartness from the sauce, saltiness from the pepperoni, a little spice from red pepper flakes...sauce lending a bit of umami, as well. I mean, it hits all the notes to absolutely light up your palette.
Now the big chunks or slices of pineapple? Nah, that's a no go. But the little tidbit sized pieces of pineapple spread lightly on a pizza? Oh man, that's the good stuff.
My favorite pizza is pep, it sausage, onion, green pepper, green olives, but an Hawaiian is a fantastic change of pace.
