How does getting fired from a residency work? Can you get another one? Are you just fricked?

Classic case of behavioralism. Subsidizing things produces more of it.

Under the guise of kindness, were destroying people.

Lemme guess: Democrats are in favor of this, while Republicans are not.

No one should be in favor of this.

You can thank Title VII and its offspring for that. Backpay, baby!

It is super super hard to fire a resident. They are very protected. It much more common just to pass them and not deal with it.

That's not discrimination because some person is being unfair. That's because their reality is unfair compared to people who can see. You just don't get to be an airplane pilot when you are blind or an athlete if you have muscular dystrophy

To add to that those things are immutable. In the case of being blind you can be treated but your vision will never be good enough to fly a plane.

You can stop being fat. The problem is the loudmouth lazy no-effort people who think the world owes them a living. Like this dumbass who pursued a career in healthcare and is dumbfounded that they have to take breaks all the time.

had to take breaks while working on a patient at Texas Tech’s Department of Emergency Medicine.

That seems bad for the patient.

Probably used weight to get into medical school and residency program. 400 pounds???

8th Circuit appears to be based in El Paso, but Texas Tech Health Science Center appears to have one of its campuses in El Paso.

They should make her step on a scale to see if she has learned anything from being fired before making any decision

To put this in context, she would have to be taller than 6'3" to have a BMI below 50.

She'd have to be 7' tall to have a BMI of 40.

What reasonable accommodations would one give an emergency care physician that could not perform emergency care without frequent breaks?

I can just see how a pre-op appointment would go.

"Well sir, we're going to need to keep you under anesthesia a little longer than normal so your obese doctor can take federally mandated breaks."

we have it so good and so comfortable in this country we are now actively making up things to be upset about and then giving up our rights to the government so they can fix the non-existent problems we made up.

And those of us who see this happening are so pre-occupied trying to keep our businesses running and our families secure we dont have the energy or time to process it much less fight it.

We're all retarded.
