The chain announced this week that it will roll out a 2.2% menu price increase at the start of the second quarter of 2024, which should begin around late March. During an earnings call with investors on Feb. 15, Texas Roadhouse CFO Chris Monroe explained that the upcoming price hike is meant to "help offset the impact of inflationary pressures" it expects to face in 2024.

This will be the third price increase that the popular steakhouse chain has implemented in less than a year. Texas Roadhouse hiked up prices by 2.7% in October 2023, which CEO Jerry Morgan said at the time was mainly meant to make up for rising labor costs.

Full Story

Sucks, but not a surprise. At what point do the price hikes end? This place stays pack.

Of all the mid-tier steakhouses, this chain does it the best in terms of quality, consistency, and value for your money.

And the rolls ...

Probably the best restaurant out there for the price. Incredible food.

Never had a bad meal at any location I’ve ever been.

I agree.

Another place that is similar, but much smaller (in fact, I don't know how many locations they actually have - didn't check) is Hoffbrau Steak & Grill House in Granbury, TX.

About the same level, but most likely, not the same scale.

And I'll continue to stop going out until prices stabilize, great strategy.

I don’t know how they were doing it before. I was a little nervous about what I was eating at those prices but it always tasted good.

A 2% increase is not too noticeable, 50 cents on a $25 meal.

But, what I would like to see is the 2020 v. 2024 price difference on say a typical ribeye/ baked potato/ salad meal.

Haven't eaten there in at least 15 years. Rarely ever eat in a restaurant, maybe once in a couple of months for a birthday. Do they still have the peanuts?

One just opened in Opelika, AL tonight and it was packed. We were at the Walk On's across from it.(for my son's birthday) Can't believe people get so worked up over buttered rolls.

When the consumer stops paying the price.

As long as people keep showing up swiping those cards prices will rise.

The last time I ate at a Texas Roadhouse the chicken fried steak had more grizzle than meat.

Literally the only person to ever have a bad experience there. Maybe order a steak next time like an adult
