He killed a guy that was aiming an AK-47 at him.

The US Army soldier who fatally shot an armed protestor after driving into the thick of a Black Lives Matter protest in Texas last summer has been charged with murder.

A Black Lives Matter protest in the streets of downtown Austin on July 25 turned violent when, Garrett Foster, who was armed with an AK-47, was killed amid an armed standoff with a Sgt. Daniel Perry, who shot and killed him while being confronted by protesters.

Perry was indicted by a Travis County grand jury on the charges of murder, aggravated assault and deadly conduct on Thursday, according to the New York Post.

Perry was stationed at Fort Hood at that time, and was working for a ride-sharing company. On that day, he had just dropped off a customer before turning down a street blocked by a crowd of protestors.

The crowd then surrounded Perry's vehicle, which is when Foster and Perry came face to face. Foster, a 28-year-old Air Force veteran, was carrying an Ak-47 rifle, which is legal under Texas open carry laws.

The incident, which has conflicting reports of how it unfolded

Doesn’t sound too conflicting or confusing to me. Sounds like a crowd of violent BLM activists threatened the man, and one of them with an AK aimed it at the soldier and the soldier ended the threat, and now he’s facing murder charges because of his skin color not being of the “oppressed”. The fact that the guy with the AK was making threatening comments and looking for a fight just earlier pretty much fits like a glove. Crowds beating on your car and threatening you pretty much sets the stage for every bit of this. Cause and effect.

Take a page from the left's playbook. Release the names and addresses of those on the grand jury.

this the video of the ginger and his BLM pals stopping a random car in one of their hissy fit yet super peaceful protests? The ginger clearly raises the AK when the random driver was inching forward, the driver ends the ginger poser?

Texans live in a fantasyland where they believe they’re the last remaining bastion of guys walking around in 10 gallon hats with 6 shooters and defending the republic, but that state probably has the most leftist cities and leftists in the south. At least 50% of the people I know in Texas are socialite liberals, and the other 50% certainly don’t seem to be bothered by them.

So to sum it up, Florida is the new Texas

Just another political prosecution, just like Kyle Rittenhouse.

Getting harder and harder to see the "both parties are the same" argument espoused by so many.

Yeah, open carry is legal. Pretty sure your protection under the law ends when you point it at someone under no threat to yourself.
