Sudney Watson just had her test done. Said she was prescreened and tested at a local urgent care. Process took about two hours.
Of course she lives in DC.

My wife said I needed to get a negative tests before we could have sex again. Something tells me she also knows how difficult it is to get tested.

Uhhh that’s not true. I went to urgent care last week. I was tested for flu and strep - it was a sinus infection. They asked numerous questions, which was fine. They were extremely helpful.

If the CDC would have just taken the WHO kits in the beginning while they got their own kits going testing would be much more widespread and accessible. We could have had SK-like testing and have a much better idea of the significance of spread of the virus, giving officials and experts more data to work with to make decisions on closures and policies. We will have drive-thru testing soon but it's way late in the game.
Hate that everything is closing? Think this is all overblown? It's possible but without adequate testing we just don't know

yeah this is the one real error of the whole process
the CDC saying "no we have to do our OWN test" and then creating tests that didn't work in the first batch fricked up the early screening
the above statement only applies to government. the mainstream media has basically sold its soul. they've intentionally created mass panic for partisan reasons. i mean they actually tried to claim that banning travel from the previous epicenter was racist and then flipped out over a proactive ban from the NEW epicenter (that is primarily white so "racist" didn't work). it's disgusting

Braxton are not special after all. You are nothing but a number on a board.

You do realize a test does not help you in any way right? They will tell you to do the same thing as if you had a flu etc. Saturating labs with nervous nancy pussies will cause a bigger health problem.
Completely disagree. If someone tests positive they can be quarantined until they are no longer infectious. A normal person will go out in public as soon as they start to feel better (at which point they are still contagious) and spread the virus.

Pelosi just said everyone needs to be tested,so they have an idea of how widespread it is.

This is so retarded.
Person 1: Why can't we do something better like country xyz?
Mouth breather on the OT: We will tell you what you can do, you can leave.

Do you think this developed nation had a warehouse full of test kits for a virus that they never heard of?
It takes time to produce these test kits and then get them to where they are needed.
Except when the CDC turns down free tests from WHO, then tries to make their own and fails horribly. Only then to be quoted by the OT as subject matter experts on why not to get tested.
Brilliant!

Not everyone can stay home for a week (or 2) easily and would prefer not to if they don’t have the virus. This is why everyone exhibiting symptoms should be able to be tested if they want.
First, either they “can” stay home or they can’t when sick... with any illness. Even as of today, every person in this country is more likely to die from the normal flu than Covid simply because it’s so much more widespread and you’re more likely to get it vaccination or not.
Second, if everyone thought that they could be tested just by asking, what do you think would happen to the hospitals and health system? We have psychos buying toilet paper to last them 8 years and you think they wouldn’t run to the nearest ER to get their whole family screened if they thought it was an option? Yeah. Let’s unleash all the Karens and see what happens.
fricking idiot.

This is what happens when you have a localized, privatized, for-profit health care industry.
You know, all that shite Bernie has been bitching about. You don’t have to have a socialist country, but sometimes socialism does actually work (the military, elder care, etc.)

Some sectors are better served as social programs, like DoT, first responders, police, etc., where privatization means either the service would be unprofitable or only profitable by catering to wealthy people and poor/middle class people get left behind. I personally think that, in general everyday circumstances, healthcare fits the bill for socialization as well.
That said, all systems have their flaws and no current system would really get Italy out of this shite. Without a gross overstock of ICU rooms, beds, and ventilators, no country is fully equipped to handle this pandemic without social slowdown tactics like distancing and quarantining.

America is so great we can even make socialism work. We did with Medicare, Social Security, and our military!
