Put it in another perspective. Tesla has a larger market capitalization than Ford. Ford made $8 Billion in profits last yr. Tesla has not made a dime of profit yet in its company history...
Tesla is not dead yet. Amazon similarly took a while to turn the corner on profitability...

Any company that turns a profit can snipe at Tesla with credibility. And GM usually turns a profit.
It also doesn’t take GM (or any legitimate competitor to GM) 34,000 employees to build 160,000 cars per year.
