I'm pretty open minded to ideas and trying to read between the lines of a play to see the synergy.

But that makes no sense bro.

More likely GM beats his arse to a pulp while he's weak and buys on the cheap in a bidding war with other car companies who can use their economies of scale to cheapen the manufacturing process/use marketing arm and turn it into a real business instead of an Elon bubble funded pipe dream.

Elo ln jumped the gun with full automation. He is aware that he screawed this part up but there are too many believers and backers in the game who will not let tesla fall.

Theranos had a lot of believers and backers too.

Granted she didn’t have a car.

Tesla has some good product and it'll be a shame if they had to shut down.

Their $80k cars are falling apart. Their overall product is selling places in line for the next product.

The electric drivetrain is cool, but their engineering is pretty much open source at this point. They have no advantage in the electric car business.

Tesla needs to hire a good CEO to run the business and keep Elon in a closet until they need a stock bump. Otherwise, I’m not sure Tesla makes it. I think Lucid catches up quickly and buys their supercharger facility then Tesla will declare bankruptcy, because no one is going to buy it with all that debt.

His true intention was always to bring electric cars to the masses. Whether or not his company succeeds in being profitable long term is probably not important to him. He's already achieved his goal. Every car company is now working on or has released an electric vehicle because of the pressure applied by Tesla.

I knew it was a joke when Tesla was valued more than GM.

So I shorted it. Profit.

He’s a busy guy. He also runs a space rocket company and a hyperloop tunneling company.

I’d say Tesla will be fine. He does need some help though.

He's not wrong. Nevermind the source, what is it Tesla is doing that no other luxury manufacturers could? Styling? Branding? Crashing autopilots?

Full automation doesn't require 9000 workers.

That plant had a capacity of 300,000 plus unit's per year with half the workforce prior to Tesla buying it.

A point Lutz was making.

Well he relied too much on automation, he admitted to this recently. There are some things that humans are better at and they dont break down like his robots/software. If theres a halt in one section, everything stops which is the primary reason for the delay in manufacturing model 3s. He goofed and he is trying to somehow fix it.

Oh this is Rich coming from the company with 500,000 employees who delivered the Volt 5 years late and it could only go 26 miles on it's electric engine.

Tell us more about how to mass produce electric cars.

I’d agree with this somewhat. One thing, he doesn’t do anything with a mindset of being ok with failure.

Let's see:

GM is a competitor.

GM is jelly they can't make an electric car worth a damn with 500,000 employees and with Obama practically begging them to.

Had to be bailed out by government.

100% of their first electric cars were recalled and smashed into pieces.

The Volt was 5 years behind schedule and when it came out the electric engine had a range of 26 miles.

Says Tesla can't make cars.

Checks out.

How many less than 150,000 a year? Big difference between 72,000 and 147,000. But both are less than 150,000.
