I'm not a musk homo but this is such a lie. First sale of a Bolt was Jan 2017 and the model 3 started shipping in July 2017.

This isn't about getting subsidies. It's about acting holier-than-thou while getting subsidies.
GM used government money and paid it back. Tesla used government money and paid it back.
Without the money Tesla would probably be in the same place that GM would be in without their money.
Both are still getting the benefits of government money.
