Holy shite! Elon was right. Looks like it's straight out of Blade Runner. My initial impression is that I hated it but the more I look at it, I want it. I have to admit though I'm not crazy about the wheel wells or the wheels. But this image looks badass cyberpunk. This thing will look killer going down the road on gray dreary rainy days.

The glass demo was hilariously messed up. But it did take a sledgehammer to the door panel like a tank.

Maybe they are actually trying to make a tank, Elon must be going for some of that Defense budget.

I had a brief moment last night where I thought, even though I don't like the look, it may be cool to be one of the first to get this and it'll turn some heads.

Then I remembered I absolutely loathe strangers coming up to me and striking up conversations, and this thing will be a magnet for random people to come up to me, so that got me back on track with being a no go for this truck.

Yea, that was impressive. And the glass will be stronger than the glass on an average vehicle, but that didn't make the demo any less funny.

The entire thing was a debacle. Even if the glass broke but everyone universally loved the look, it would be fine.

But today Tesla is the butt of the joke on both fronts, most people hate the look and the presentation was a shite show.

I put my $100 deposit down (fully refundable).

Don't know if I would actually consider buying/driving it, but I want to see more about it first.

You want a vehicle to dent...that's what makes it safe
No, the body panels play almost no role in making a vehicle safe. Even these thick "bulletproof" panels on this truck won't play much of a role. They're still just sheetmetal, and they will crumple almost like paper in a crash. Safety is all about the frame and the passenger compartment.

And it wasn't even a sledgehammer that he used, it was a dead-blow hammer, that's why the head was orange. It's plastic filled with sand, basically. A real sledgehammer would absolutely dent that truck.

I did the same as well. If they can keep the same specs and price point but make the design less hideous, this will be a no brainer.

What about this design? Way better IMO but I’d have to see what they look like in person. Not a huge fan of the Ridgeline style bed on either.

Air suspension allows you to raise or lower back/front/left/right independently + built in ramp in the tailgate is pretty damn badass.

I mean, that behemoth of a truck is faster than a Porsche 911 lol.

None of them as presented are faster than any modern 911, the three motor version is quicker to 60 than most versions of the 911.

EVs can best the best ICE vehicles in most performance metrics but Tesla is yet to build a true high-performance EV.

Had they done that design, I would have paid in full for it last night.

Would towing a boat affect the amount of miles you can travel?

This thing is ugly as frick but I can’t deny the specs and possibilities.

I kinda like it

I'm not going to get it, but I might prefer it to the 60k Fords with gigantic gaudy PLATINUM written across the tailgate
