I've never met anyone who grew up in the southern half of Chicago who didn't think it was the greatest place on earth.

I know someone who lives in the nicer southern burbs not 2-3 miles from the southside. He said something along the lines of "I've lived in this place for my 56 years, why would I ever want to be somewhere else. What else can the world offer me than what I have now?"

The Southside is a big place, man. You're talking about an area and population that, by itself, is larger than many major cities in the U.S. (Southside alone is about double the size of New Orleans). There are some areas of the Southside that are perfectly fine. Do you know the neighborhood she works in?
